One fascinating application of superparamagnetic particles - and one that already has been widely applied in technical products - is that of ferro?

However, in the case of interacting superparamagnetic particles, an additional phenomenon may be observed.
(a) Within a superparamagnetic particle, the elementary magnetic dipoles are oriented in parallel.
Provided that the superparamagnetic particles are of equal size and their distance allows dipole-dipole interaction (as in ferromagnetic materials), magnetic coupling between the particles will occur.
